Privacy Policy
Effective: 29 October 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled when you visit CO.VC or submit a private acquisition enquiry.
1. Information we collect
If you submit the acquisition enquiry form, we collect the information you provide, which may include your name, work email address, company or fund, offer amount and currency, stated interest and message. Hosting and security infrastructure may also process technical information such as IP address, browser/device information, request data and timestamps as part of operating and securing the website.
2. Why we use information
Enquiry information is used to receive, assess and respond to genuine acquisition or strategic enquiries, communicate with you about that enquiry, protect the website against abuse and fraud, and maintain the security and integrity of the service.
3. Legal bases
Depending on the context, processing may be necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, to pursue legitimate interests in managing genuine business enquiries and protecting the website, or to comply with legal obligations. Where consent is the appropriate legal basis, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting prior lawful processing.
4. Service providers and recipients
Personal data may be processed by providers that support website hosting, form handling, email delivery, security and related technical operations, only to the extent needed to provide those services. CO.VC is currently hosted using Netlify infrastructure.
5. International transfers
Some service providers may process information outside the European Economic Area. Where applicable, transfers should be subject to a legally recognized transfer mechanism and appropriate safeguards.
6. Retention
Enquiry data is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to assess and manage the enquiry, maintain relevant business records, resolve disputes, or meet applicable legal requirements. Unsuccessful or inactive enquiries should be periodically reviewed and deleted or anonymized when no longer needed.
7. Your rights
Subject to applicable data-protection law, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, portability of your data, or to object to certain processing. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent. You may also lodge a complaint with the competent data-protection supervisory authority. In Portugal, this is the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD).
8. Cookies and similar technologies
CO.VC currently does not use analytics or advertising cookies. The website uses local browser storage only to remember that you have acknowledged the privacy notice. You can reopen the privacy manager at any time using “Cookie settings” in the website footer.

9. Security
Reasonable technical and organizational measures are used to protect personal information. No internet transmission or storage system can, however, be guaranteed to be completely secure.

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the website, data practices, service providers or applicable requirements. The effective date above identifies the latest revision.
